Good Rituals Begin
With Good Questions

Knowing what goes on your skin is part of mindful care. Follow the pack directions and choose what feels right for you.

Will it be suitable for my skin?

Abhyangpratha is made with natural herbal ingredients and is gentle by nature. Every skin is different, so we suggest trying a small patch first and choosing milk or rose water as your base if your skin is on the sensitive side.

What can I use to make a paste of Abhyangpratha ubtan?

Blend it with milk for a nourishing paste, rose water for a fresher feel, plain water for everyday use, or warm sesame oil for a classic Abhyanga Snan touch. Mix to a smooth consistency, apply gently and rinse with water.

Can children use it?

Yes — it has always been a family ritual, shared across generations. For young children we suggest a small amount mixed with milk, a gentle application and rinsing well; check with your doctor if your child has sensitive skin.

Does it contain any artificial fragrance?

No. Abhyangpratha is naturally fragranced — its aroma comes from the herbs and botanicals it is crafted with, with no artificial fragrance added.

Can I use it on face and body both?

Yes, it is meant for both face and body. Apply gently, avoid contact with the eyes, and rinse thoroughly with water.

A note from Team AbhyangPratha

Just like you, I hold Diwali close to my heart and cherish its traditions.

Yet, year after year, I felt something was missing in the ubtans I tried. Their overpowering, incense-like scent didn’t feel true to my childhood memories of Abhyang Snan, and the clay-heavy blends lacked the gentle exfoliation and richness of herbs I remembered. I missed the distinctive scent of white turmeric, mingled with sariva, bakuchi and chandan—and the mesmerising fragrance that lingered on my skin after bathing on Diwali mornings. Abhyangpratha was born from that longing: to bring back a cherished ritual with carefully chosen herbs and their natural fragrance, and to pass its warmth on to the next generation.

It took many attempts to get the blend just right, but the result was everything I had hoped for. I hope you love the experience as much as I do.

Do share your thoughts with us—we’d love to hear how Abhyangpratha became part of your Diwali ritual.

Happy Diwali! 🪔
